im extremely turned off right now by all the false doctrines going around. the bible says that there's three types of ground, the rocky, the thorny and the good ground. the ground represents our hearts and the seeds that are planted into the groundrepresents the word of God. focusing on the thorny ground, if the cares of this world chokes up the seed that is planted, the word of God cannot be strong. what im trying to say is that, if you misinterpret the word of God, many false doctrines will be birthed from that misunderstanding and misintepretation. when the bible says that "the Lord thy God is a jealous God", it simply meant that God is jealous whenever we ignore His way, His truth and His life and choose to pursue the cares of this world. God wants us to be wholehearted to Him just like a husband would want a wife to be wholehearted to him as well. why on earth would GOD be jealous OF a mere human being?? HE is GOD.
and what? man created God in his own image? God is just a feeling and not a belief?? the bible says that we are saved by FAITH through GRACE. GOD created MAN in HIS own image.
if being in the presence of God is only worth the goosebumps and feeling good, then what is the whole purpose of living a christian life in the first place? the bible says, if anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. what does this deny mean? "i am not who i am??" NO. it means living a selfless instead of a selfish life. what is all this "do not make the pathetic error of clinging to the old rugged cross"??
P.S. for the non-believers, don't get me wrong. i want to clarify my stand on the bible, not forcing my beliefs on you. you have every right to believe what you want to believe as much as i strongly want you to come to know the glory of my God the Father. if this is just a mere feeling, i wouldnt be so turned off right now. im not trying to start another debate on which is true and false. what im saying is that the bible should not be twisted in such a disoriented well, twisted way.
