my birthday on the last day of 2009 was.. definately... unforgettable. at 12 midnight, austin, grace, yokfong and nick came below my house. they threw my birthday cake and havaianas up to my window and sang a birthday song. after which, we played hide and seek. haha. that was really sweet. thank you!
after that, i went to meet raymond and jeremy at tampines mrt. little did i know.. that.. the cell.. was below my house.. trying to wake me up by throwing sticks and "small" stones at my window. one "small" stone smashed my window while i wasn't home. austin called, only to find out that i was already out. in the meantime, i went to New York New York with jem and raymond. cosina came after that. thanks for the cake, the lunch, the card and the drumsticks. it was really sweet (: the cell came to city hall to meet me. it was outside Cafe Cartel where i found out the horrific news. i thought it was a joke until i saw the pictures and the video. Surprisingly, i wasn't in the least angry. i was very touched actually. haha. thanks guys, for coming to my house in the early morning to wake me up. fyi, i wouldn't wake up even when my window was smashed. im a very very very deep sleeper.
we proceeded to rauf's house. the food was great. (: then, my dad called to tell me that sandy ran away and that they couldn't find her. i was devastated. really. then 2 hours later, he called to say that he has found her. thank God. we went for the watchnight service at church after the dinner. the presence of God was definately there.
2010 is a very significant year. i completely agree with Austin that 2010 will be a tough year for many. i'm going to be year 3 soon. i have to try feeling like a 19 year-old even though i just turned 18 yesterday. overall, let's all gird ourselves with the armour of God and fight. we can fend off sudden attacks if we are prepared. let's keep out eyes focused upon God. ultimately, love God, love people, watch and pray. as the church, we should not fall into slumber. let's be alert and prepared in season, and out of season. we will come out of 2010 victorious. 2009 was a very significant year for me. but 2010 will be glorious. press on!
